Four years on, India remembers 26/11 martyrs



On the fourth anniversary of the 26/11 attacks today, the city of Mumbai along with the whole country paid tribute to those killed by 10 Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) terrorists in the country's financial capital on November 26, 2008.

Facebook arrests fiasco: Double standards?




After two policemen were suspended for the arrest of two girls over a Facebook post on the shutdown in Mumbai during the day of Bal Thackeray's funeral, the Shiv Sena has accused the Congress of double standards, The party, which has called for bandh in Palghar outside Mumbai in protest against the action initiated against the cops, pointed how a man was arrested in Chennai for his allegedly defamatory posts on Finance Minister P Chidambaram's son.

Bal Thackeray cremated; Uddhav, Raj perform final rites




Bal Thackeray has been cremated at Shivaji Park, where he launched the Shiv Sena 46 years ago at a massive rally on Dussehra. Nearly two lakh people, including several big names, gathered at the sprawling ground as Mr Thackeray was consigned to the flames.

Two girls arrested for Facebook post on Mumbai bandh get bail




Two Mumbai girls have been arrested and were ordered by a court to 14 days in jail for questioning on Facebook the shutdown of Mumbai on Sunday, the day of Shiv Sena supremo Bal Thackeray's funeral. They were bailed within hours of being arrested after paying a Rs. 15,000 bond.

Ajmal Kasab hanged at Pune's Yerawada Jail this morning



Ajmal Kasab, the only terrorist caught alive during the 26/11 attacks on Mumbai, was hanged to death at Pune's Yerawada Jail at on 20 November 2012 at 7:30 morning.
